Valentines Day? At a cosy bookshop? Watching live jazz? Yes please.
Immy Churchill is a jazz vocalist, singer-songwriter and lyricist recently graduated from The Royal Academy of Music. She has been described as a “rising star”, striding out in the London jazz scene and playing her own original music at venues such as The Green Note, Pizza Express Holborn and The Vortex, alongside touring Germany and Switzerland as a side person. Other venues include Ronnie Scott’s, The Crazy Coqs, The Royal Albert Hall and The Jazz Cafe. Immy Churchill looks to embrace not only the lyrical quality of being a singer but also the joys of singing wordlessly and improvising. Her influences range from Joni Mitchell and James Taylor to Ella Fitzgerald and Norma Winstone, providing her with a wide breadth of musical knowledge that sets her apart as a vocalist.
