The Myddleton Folk Sessions’ is a lovely way to spend your late afternoon. Played in the standard folk format where likeminded musicians can join in the session, the music takes inspiration from the Scottish, Irish and English folk traditions. Led by Gregory Scotland (violin) and Sol Grimshaw (Guitar).

The Myddleton Arms Gypsy Jazz sessions are a favourite for many with acoustic guitars and double bass in the front room of the cosy Myddleton Arms Pub.
The gig was started by Cornelius Corkery and Sol Grimshaw in Autumn 2021.

The London Django Collective is a collective of musicians with a shared passion of the music of Django Reinhardt. Led by Matt Holborn (violin) and Harry Diplock (guitar) the group has been very important in the recording of original compositions pushing the genre into new directions.

Thursday 22nd August - Sol Grimshaw Trio
Venue: Charterhouse Gardens, EC1M 6AN
Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm
The Fidelio Hot Club is a quartet inspired by the music of Django Reinhardt’s Hot Jazz with a strong connection to Classical music. The quartet led by violinist Ray Rafols performs its own arrangements of classical pieces, originals and jazz classics from the 1930/40s. Fidelio is a classical concert venue with a delicious food and drink menu.

Harry Diplock is at the forefront of gypsy jazz in the UK. He is co-founder of the London Django Collective and regularly visits the Paris and Europe with his musical endeavours. This trio features cutting edge gypsy jazz including many of Harry’s original compositions, arrangements and exciting new pathways to the genre.

The Panama Picnic Orchestra draw their inspiration from Hot Gypsy Swing, Calypso, Latin, and Dark Mambo. The band have crafted a set of all new exciting and emotive originals. They bring the rhythms and textures of the vintage era to the present day with a captivating and thrilling flare and energy.

Soho Jazz Festival

The London Django Collective is a group of musicians inspired by the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli and the hot jazz of the 1930s and 40s. The collective writes original composition inspired by the style whilst pushing modern and contemporary boundaries of the genre as well as playing more recognisable songs and Django composition from the style.
