Stroma is a folk collective from London specialising in exciting ceilidhs and dynamic tunes.

Stroma’s events feature traditional and new folk music from the Scottish, Irish and English traditions, presented on acoustic instruments with a striking contemporary edge. The band features students and alumni of some of the most well-respected music schools in the UK, and they are highly skilled musicians across folk, acoustic, world and classical genres. With fiery fiddle, driving guitar/bouzouki and rhythmic bodhrán amongst many other instruments, Stroma’s vibrant and energetic live performances have earned them a glowing reputation across London and beyond.

In their first five years, the Stroma musicians have performed at countless functions and events across England, from weddings to sell-out public events. They can regularly be seen performing as one of the house bands for London’s Ceilidh Club, and have recently branched out to the festival circuit with a debut appearance at FolkEast in 2023.

Stroma are one of London’s busiest ceilidh bands playing for hundreds of Weddings, Birthday Parties and other Special Occasions.
